Accessing The Session Wizard



  • Ensure that you are on the Dashboard by clicking on “Dashboard” on the left hand navigation bar
  • Click Pre-event to under Statistics to access the Session Wizard.



  • Once in Pre Event you will locate Session Wizard as the last button to the right
  • Click session wizard

The Session Wizard

1) Dataset Validation

Dataset Validation tab:

The Validation shows which Hosts are missing mandatory sessions.

  • Search– allows to filter through all organizations, either by organization name, or by Email.
  • Edit– will allow you to edit the profile, primary function and the activity (outlined further in detail below)

Edit Primary Function:

  • You can change the participants primary function, which may alter the business rules for this Host.
  • Click Save once the update is made

Edit Activity:

  • Locate the activity type you need to edit for the dataset validation
  • e.g. If the user was missing DWDM, click the corresponding button

Edit Activity:

  • After clicking the corresponding “Edit Activity” button you will see this screen
  • Change the Hosting/Attending status as needed, then click Save

2) Agenda Framework

Agenda Framework:

  • Once all Dataset Validation Errors and cleared, click on the Agenda Framework Tab
  • This will bring you to the screen shown
  • Click OK to proceed to the framework

Agenda Framework Details:

  • The buttons highlighted in the top right can generate reports as excel sheets and allow you to refresh the data. Available reports:
    • Export Pre-Generated Sessions– shows all sessions currently pre-generated
    • Host Validation Report– will show who is not hosting optional activities/who is not hosting anything at all
    • Available Rooms/Tables– will show what is left over after the pre-generator
  • Below are the framework elements, which you can click on to obtain more details of a particular activity at a certain time.

Session Details:

  • You can click on any of the specific actvity type in the calender to obtain details as shown.
  • Search– you can use the search box to filter through the sessions if trying to locate a specific person.
  • You can also select the option to view more results per page, or to go page by page to obtain details on the session.

Modify Framework:

Throughout the wizard there is an option to Modify the Framework located on the upper right hand-side.

  • You can Add to the Framework – meaning you can assign an element that will reflect in the framework such as a certain activity to appear at a certain time.
  • Locations can be connected to a certain element within the framework such as BO, LS, DwDM, etc.
  • Edit – Allows you to make adjustment to an already existing element within the framework
  • View Locations – Allows you to view the locations connected to that specific element within the framework

Adding A New Element:

  • After you have clicked on the option to Add to Framework you will be asked for the following:
    • Agenda Name
    • Activity Name
    • Start Time
    • End Time
    • Color
  • Once all information has been entered in click on save for the element to appear on the framework or on the option to cancel.

Location Connection Modal:

  • To connect a location to an element please conduct the following:
    • Framework Element (Date/Time/Activity Type)
    • Community of Interest
    • Facility Name
  • Click on Add Location to Save the data and Continue adding more Locations. Once all locations desired are connected click on the X on the upper right hand corner to exit.

3) Generate Sessions

Generate Sessions:

  • Once you have reviewed the sessions on the Agenda Framework tab click on the Generate Sessions tab.
  • Generate Sessions– Clicking this button will generate sessions making it visible to the users.
